Rotary Control
Case Study
Gathering insights about washing machines and their control panels, led me to think about an easy to use replacement to combine haptics with dynamic content.
This project is the result of a short design sprint and concerns about rotary naviation through a horizontal and vertical system. Thinking about different interaction behaviors and better usability for older or handicapped people, a minimalistic and simple interface was created. The interaction pattern is following a step by step approach: 1. What do I want to wash ? 2. How do I want it to be cleaned ? 3. When do I want it to be done ? 4. Which special features do I want to activate ?
By developing an MVP prototype the interface was able to provide a look and feel. A combination of digital feedback and haptic controls led to an optimal visual and haptical feedback.
